Girls night out!!! :-D
So exciting.
Opening weekend of the Sex and the City movie where it all ends with tears and laughs. Never have they ever made a show or movie that all women can relate to on life, love, and romance....or lack there of in all these things. Minus the wealth and designer clothes or shoes or the expensive apartments in downtown Manhattan, of course. This is where they failed miserably. Yet, it's a movie and, well, it gives us eye candy and hope and dreams of owning all these things. Almost like looking into our own life and asking your self "What if it was that dramatic plus the expensive stuff and the happy ending?!"
The hilarious part was seeing all kinds of women all dressed up in their most expensive and cohesive outfits to sit in a dark theater for 2 hours and a half. Pumps and all.
Dammit, i forgot to wear mine!
As though "Big" might be watching or "Steve"...or the hot guy that showed his Jack in the box. Yup, i saw it. BTW, TMI in lots of parts. Whoa.
The clapping before the movie started and the giggles and "awww's" and the gasp were a bit much. But i understood. We're all girls and we damn well love drama and girly things. We will act girly and no one will stop us! I couldn't help but laugh though. It's ironic when Carrie tells Lily life isn't a fairy tale and it really isn't. Yet we are soooo taking it all in and loving it. Making it a fairy tale that lasts 2 hours and a half. And this makes us hope because the ending was just as we hoped it'd be. Happy.
I loved the movie. It was just as I expected. The clothes and shoes were to the 10th degree for the hell of it and yes, the thought of throwing away my whole wardrobe to buy a new one crossed my mind. :-/ In time, when I've arrived in life. Just you wait and see.
But this is just it. When i stood to leave i thought to myself, it's over and the fairy tale it gone. Back to real life and the way it really is. I cried...in the still dark theater waiting in line behind the massive people that were leaving. How i wish and pray it can all be just as happy for all of us. Each and every girl in that theater. To the point where this movie was nothing compared to our happiness. To the point of forgetting about anything else that's not important and all the sadness. All of us deserve it. I just don't like the fact that we have to feel happy through a movie and not in reality. We deserve it!
We'll all get over it. And by all means, WE WILL HAVE OUR HAPPY ENDING, DAMMIT!!! Just you wait and see!
