Payback, Bitches!

So, I was really bummed about what happened this last Tuesday and I wasn't doing well Wednesday at work. I just kept to myself and spoke to no one. The boss was awkward with me as if he thought i hated him or something.

Thursday comes and I'm so not feelin' it either. I had a meeting i was quite nervous about since the night before, don't know why. 5 minutes before the meeting i get up to munch on snacks we have upfront (meeting was ON my lunch hour) and suddenly the boss asks me if i was leaving without waiting for him...pouting. Say what? "Ah, no." I said. "Just stretching. I was going to ask you just now." My god, he’s paranoid. Right before we leave i say I'm hungry (just to break the awkwardness) and he tells me that it would be funny if i took a box of cereal from our last brunch to the meeting. In a split second i thought....Networking! This should get people talking. "You know what? I think I just might." I said and grabbed the box of Honey bunches of oats with strawberries and walked ahead of him chuckling. You want Networking? You got it asswipe!

I boldly walked into the meeting with people i didn't know and slammed the box on the table and announced, "I brought lunch". :-) Everyone laughed. Boss was uneasy and uncomfortable and laughed hesitantly. Meeting went on —The meeting i was afraid of— and there i was, sitting with a cereal box and a diet pepsi at my side.

My day, after that,was certainly happier. :-) I was talking loudly to people. Cracking jokes. Going to meetings (without waiting for him —You should have seen his face! Priceless!) and working with a smile on my face. Let me tell you though, Networking is real hard work. Exhausting! Harder than "work" itself! How do people do it alllll dayyy?!

Best part was getting an assignment to make the yearly anticipated company Halloween Party inter-office email. The party where the skits are acted out for prizes. I came up with this



Our desks look like these and our computers are powered by "Mako" security systems so it's like having Dracula work here. LOL! *shrug* Whatevs. I'm just glad they liked it a lot! They gathered all around my desk which is like an honor for us designers when this happens because it means you did pretty well.

When it was sent off to be approved by the big bosses I've never talked to, it was rejected. Why? Because the company is in deep shambles and the blood can be misrepresenting. *Huge eyes rolling* So i had 2 whole hours to come up with something "brilliant".

Wait. I don't even like Halloween.

So i came up with this. LMAO.

Apparently this was a breakthrough. People from all angles started to come to my desk and were awed at it. WTF? Really?! I do better Went captions with Wii-Me in them! Even Lispy came by and in his exact words said, "Oh wow, That is cool" hehehehehehe. He then proceed to give me pointers on fixing this and that and pointing with HIS finger on MY screen! Asking me how i did some stuff and complimenting ME! All the hot guys standing around saying "Yeahhh change that. Yeah that looks cool...You have skillz!" All the while, Boss behind me saying....nothing. LMAO! When the email was FINALLY approved and sent....get this....PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE GAVE ME A ROUND OF APPLAUSE!!!! SERIOUSLY?!?! LMmotherFAO!!!!

And to think, i didn't comb my hair that day! :-/
